Family Day weekend and she is home!

Well, Matthew and Mikaela's midterms are done. Matthew's last one was last night from 7-9pm. That totally sucks! Especially since it is a long weekend after all. They are now off for a week but Matthew has to work at the Fish Bowl Sunday, Wednesday and Friday so he won't be home. :( Mikaela is now home! Yeah, even if it is only for a few days. We stopped at Cross Roads Antique Market in Brantford today as she was looking for some old novels. And I do mean old and classics. We also stopped at Attic Books on Dundas Street in London where she picked up a few books. Ummm so did I! One was by John Galt (my cousin Mike Floin is related to him) and since it was in the basement it was half price. I thought the half price was priced in the book but there was an additional 50% off! Bonus!!! I also picked up a couple of Sue Grafton novels. I almost have the whole series but not sure which books I am missing. Will have to check it out and go back. The sale is on until February 28th. The drive to and from Hamilton was really good. The TWN sucks! They said the roads were going to be poor and awful, well they were great. Also, I say 18 hawks on my travels today. That's leaving Sarnia going to Hamilton and back. Cheers, and enjoy the long weekend. The roads are starting to be snow cover so take care.

On the left is Willow and she is Miki's kitty and on the right is Nala and she is mine! Well, I am hers! I took these just after I put the tree up and Nala climbs right to the top. Not hard as she is about 5 lbs at the most! Willow made it 3/4 quarters of the way up but she is a bit heavier than Nala. Plus we have Miaya and Bobo (known as Zoey) along with Quincy who will be 13 in August.

WOW! It's now 2019

I cannot believe that I have not posted on here for 9 years. Holy shit. lol, a lot has changed since 2010. My kids are now 21 and 20, my son is in his fourth year of university and will be done December of this year. My daughter is now in her second year. I had my 50th birthday last March and still feel age is but a number. The diet or "lifestyle change" is still ongoing. Last year I made a career change too. I now have a job that I really enjoy going to and do not have to commute that far. I still enjoy knitting and reading thought with both I haven't done much lately. Haven't read anything in 2019 but I have a tonne of books that I could read. I still have a shit load of yarn, 15 totes! Shhhh!! But I really enjoy knitting scarves and dishcloths. I like things that don't take a lot of time but I would love to do a sweater one day. Now that I know how to log on and what my password is, I will be able to keep this up to date. Cheers! Happy Family Day weekend.
